Almost every convertor on the market has mono RCA outputs for sound. Not the Tristar MX. The Tristar MX uses a Sony sound processor and has true left and right stereo outputs, giving you a superb surround stereo listening experience.

What is needed to use this product! (Important)

This unit will NOT work on Digital Cable. It will only work on the analog cable channels 1-125 that your current cable provider offers under their analog cable plan. These are strictly analog cable boxes and for full use require the user to be subscribed to basic extended/standard analog cable. Analog cable incluedes all channels from channel 2 through channel 125. Analog cable providers offer two diffent kinds of analog cable services. Basic analog cable and basic extended/standard analog cable. Basic analog cable inclueds channels 2-13 or 2-36 and usually costs about $10-$15/month. Basic extended cable inclueds channels 2-125 and usually cost $30-$40/month. You must have a video signal coming through to the receive any given channel and you must be subscribed to basic extended/standard analog cable in order to receive all of the channels that are available in your area. If you order this unit for the purpose of viewing digital channels of 126 and above and subsequently return the unit when you find that it doesn't work for that purpose, then your money back guarantee will be voided.
